Join us on Saturday, 27 August 2016 for OneLove!
OneLove is for women of all ages and life stages. Whether you are Christian or seeking answers, come and experience life-changing Bible teaching, inspirational testimonies, delicious food, uplifting music and fantastic fellowship!
OneLove is a City event organised by KCC (Katoomba Christian Convention).
Nancy is a speaker at conferences internationally and is currently studying at Covenant Theological Seminary, Missouri (USA). She co-hosts the Grief Share video series used in over 8,500 churches, hosts Respite Retreats (families affected by the death of a child), and is the author of 14 books. Nancy and her husband, David, have faced the deaths of two of their three children, a daughter, Hope, in 1999, and a son, Gabriel, in 2001, both of whom were born with a rare genetic disorder called Zellweger Syndrome. Nancy offered many of the lessons she learned from this sorrowful experience in her 2002 book, Holding On to Hope: A Pathway of Suffering to the Heart of God. Program
Do you need a change in what captivates you? Motivates you? Shapes you?
Speakers, Nancy Guthrie and Simon Manchester, will be speaking on the theme, ‘Renewed. Transformed.’ from Romans 11-12.
Talk 1: I need a change in what captivates me
We are captivated by so many things that seek our attention, admiration and interest. These things often end up convincing us that what’s important to God shouldn’t interest us. What can bring a change in what captivates us?
Talk 2: I need a change in what motivates me
Every day, we are motivated by our desires – motivated to exercise as we desire a ‘perfect’ body, motivated to work as we desire a nice home. But what can motivate us to die to our own desires and come alive to God’s desires for us?
Talk 3: I need a change in what shapes me
There are so many competing voices and worldviews speaking to us each day. How can we choose to be shaped by God’s Word within us rather than the world around us?
We have a wonderful day out planned for you. Program times are as follows:
Complimentary coffee and tea is available throughout the day. Lunch (optional) is available for purchase at the conference and you will be provided with a gourmet high tea in the afternoon, along with lots of goodies throughout the day to spoil you.
“The ministry was excellent, the food great, the generosity amazing, the whole day was wonderful and a valuable experience.”
- Pearl
“Something for everyone to receive and be blessed by – new Christians, older Christians, not yet Christians.”
- Marion
“We attend so many things each year and have to choose what to spend money on and this event is definitely worth choosing to attend.”
– Gabrielle
“There is a deep and thorough exposition of the scriptures not trivial or superficial but faithful and true.”
– Denise

Barnabas Fund provides Practical Aid for the Persecuted Church.
Our main ministry is to send financial support to projects which help Christians where they suffer discrimination, oppression and persecution as a consequence of their faith. We seek to encourage and facilitate prayer by providing prayer information, prayer requests and resources. We make known the plight of the persecuted Church, particularly in the Muslim world, by a wide variety of means, in order to educate Christians and others about the current situation and needs as well as the background and causal factors. When requested by Christians in the contexts concerned, we engage in speaking on their behalf.
